A Ghost Story C1 Chapter 1

"Glad to see ya, mate!" came Jonathan's optimistic greeting as I stepped through the door. The soft chiming of a bell echoed as it shut.

"Um, yeah, hey," I mumbled as I looked over who all was there. There was Jonathan, sitting in the middle of everyone, chatting up a storm. I shook my head slowly, knowing I would never understand him. Two girls sat closest to him, both of them from our Physics lab. I didn't know them all that well, but I knew they were both scoring very well in the class. On the other side of the table, I realized with relief, were Derek and Jacob, friends of mine since the early days of high school.

Prologue A Ghost Story NaNo NaNo starts tomorrow, so I thought I'd kick things off with my prologue, which will not be counted into the 50k words, but will serve as an intro for the story nonetheless.
Prologue

I groaned as I read through page after page in my science textbook. If I had started studying earlier, I would've been done by now. Of course, one had to add in procrastination and distractions as factors as well. Occasionally, I'd write a few notes in my worn notebook, but otherwise I sat in complete silence, reading. Work in relation to circular motion as opposed to horizontal motion tends to- I bolted straight up when my cell phone suddenly went off, the Prologue A Ghost Story NaNo by ~pikachuhunter1

Heehee, missed having a journal skin. (But not enough I guess since I have enough points to get a premium membership but don't care to. Heh.) Welp. All the same, I guess.

So now...I bring you up to date, I guess!

Got a new job recently and am loving it. Cashier at Food Lion, and in-training to work customer service. This'll be good money for my personal use until I get a 'real' job after I graduate college. Yep. College. I feel old. It's going well enough so far, but maybe that's just me... Some people appear to be struggling, and when I offer to tutor or whatever they never take me up on it. Then again, I suppose my status as a freshman/sophomore hybrid thing makes me not as experienced as a tutor should be. Eventually my teaching dreams shall come true!!!!!

What else...well I'm not moving anymore. That's pretty cool, I guess. Get to go to college locally anyway, both for community and 4-year. I'm comin' for you ~SkyeWall >3. Creepin.

I shall attempt NaNo once more!!! (And fail, probably, but that's aside the point) This year, I have already planned out the entire project! Bwhahahah! Basically, this dude gets killed in what appears to be an accident. He has to get used to the afterlife, and is soon forced to make a choice. Help an evil entity or watch his living friends perish. Things only get crazier and more complex from there~ Given that I can bring myself to write it, you'll see a bit everyday come the start of November.

And finally, Nekocon! It's next weekend, can't wait! Two of my friends are coming with me too~ I have my cosplay ready (mostly) for Shizuo from Durarara.

Wait, did I say finally? Nah, I have one last thing...really this time.

Art. I've been getting back into drawing. Specifically, improving my drawing. Therefore, I would like to ask for requests from you guys. You know, something to challenge me. That's the only way I will get better, after all. Practice, practice, practice! I'll do anything from full color comics to pencil sketches! Just ask! (Please. I need to improve. Soooo badlyyyy)

The day that you commented on my very first fanfiction and I almost started crying because I was so honored to have the writer of Periwinkle comment on my crappy little fanfiction. My crappy little fanfiction. But nevertheless, I guess our friendship, fortunately took off. And we've been friends ever since. And Pika, what friends we've been. I remember that night we exchanged yahoos, I really do. I remember the context of our conversation. And I remember talking into the wee hours of 2am. I remember it was stormy, and you said it was stormy, and I said it was stormy, and it happened that we lived close together! And I remember rushing out to that place to find another party for the same age and name as you, and the disappointment of you not being there, and asking every person there if they were you. But ah well. And it's such a shame that we don't speak much anymore. I need your skype. Well Pika, I love you, okay? I hope you know that. You'll always be my best friend. You'll always be my twin. You'll always be my role model. You'll always be my writing inspiration. You'll always help me, even if you don't know it. Pika, if you need me, I'll be here. I'll always help you.
